For more than three decades, Talbott Vineyards wines have consistently garnered praise from wine critics and enthusiasts alike, including receiving a rare 100-point score in a Wine Spectator retrospective tasting for our 1990 Sleepy Hollow Chardonnay. Visit our Tasting Room in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea for a taste of our acclaimed wines.

OUR CRAFT

Talbott Vineyards wines translate our acclaimed vineyards into every bottle we make. We farm to the vine and make wine to the barrel; these are the smallest-possible increments we can distinguish, and this is how we approach getting the very best from our vineyard into the bottle for you to enjoy.

Talbott Vineyards winemakers are keepers of a great history. Winemaker Kamee Knutson believes it is her responsibility to not only respect the past but also to innovate in the present, ushering the legacy of Talbott Vineyards into the future.

“Nothing compares to the flavors, minerality and complexity you get from the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA,” says Kamee. “Sleepy Hollow Vineyard offers a stunning palette with a huge range of styles and flavor characteristics. It’s my responsibility to bring a different perspective while continuing the legacy.”

With over 20 years of winemaking experience, Kamee carries on our legacy of translating a sense of coastal California into exceptional wine. Working with the variety of clones and unique blocks in Talbott’s legendary Sleepy Hollow Vineyard is something Kamee approaches with “immense respect.”
