November 2012- By Josh Raynolds

2010 Chardonnay, Cuvée Audrey – 92 Points
“($75) Light gold.  Aromas of Meyer lemon, green apple and white peach, accented by flowers, clove and vanilla.  Sappy, penetrating orchard fruit flavors are brightened by citrus and honeysuckle elements and pick up a subtle iodine nuance with air.  Shows very good power on the finish, with the elements of spices and flowers carrying through emphatically.”

2010 Chardonnay, Cuvée Carlotta – 92 Points
“($52) (aged in 100% new French oak):  Bright yellow-gold.  Intense, heady aromas of candied orchard and pit fruits, with complicating vanilla and ginger nuances.  Plush and densely packed but energetic too, offering sappy nectarine and quince flavors and a touch of bitter orange.  Closes on a smoky note, with lingering vanilla, honey and candied orange flavors.  This wine has the heft to work with rich, buttery foods as well as strongly seasoned dishes.”

2010 Pinot Noir, Diamond T Vineyard  – 92 Points
“($53) Ruby-red.  Highly perfumed aromas of dark berries, cherry-cola, Asian spices and white pepper.  Intensely flavored and bright, boasting a chewy texture and impressive energy to its flavors of black raspberry and bitter cherry.  Juicy acidity gives lift and cut to the impressively long finish, which features silky tannins, a hint of vanilla bean and traces of spices and flowers.”

2010 Pinot Noir, Cuvée Sarah Case – 92 Points
“($75) (raised in 100% new oak):  Bright ruby-red.  Flamboyant aromas of candied blackberry and cherry-cola, with smoky Indian spices and vanilla adding complexity.  Fleshy and smooth on the palate, offering sweet black raspberry and cherry compote flavors that show very good depth and surprising energy.  Fine-grained tannins come on late and add grip to the long, sweet, smoky finish.”

2010 Chardonnay, Diamond T Vineyard – 91 Points
“($52) Light, bright gold.  Aromas of melon, honey and peach nectar, plus a touch of vanilla.  Sweet and expansive, offering juicy, oak-spiced pit and orchard fruit flavors and a bright note of fresh tangerine.  Shows a spicy quality and resonating notes of pit fruit nectar and bitter quinine on the smoky, persistent finish.  Displays very good energy for such a rich wine.”

2010 Pinot Noir, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard – 91 Points
“($40) Vivid ruby.  Expressive aromas of cherry-vanilla, blackberry, woodsmoke and oak spices.  Sweet and open-knit, showing flavors of candied dark berries, floral pastilles and vanilla bean.  Gentle tannins add grip to the long, attractively sweet finish of this rich, lively pinot.”

2010 Chardonnay, Logan – 90 Points
“($23) Bright yellow-gold.  Complex bouquet of fresh citrus fruits, honeydew, ginger and beeswax.  Plump and chewy on the palate, offering ripe orange and melon flavors firmed up by a bitter lemon pith nuance.  Finishes clean and chewy, with lingering spiciness and very good persistence.”

2010 Chardonnay, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard – 90 Points
“($40) Vivid gold.  Spice-accented pear and nectarine aromas are underscored by honey and white flowers.  Tangy minerality enlivens the wine's fleshy orchard fruit and melon flavors, with a late note of pear skin adding a bitter edge.  This rich but lively chardonnay closed broad and smoky, with good spicy cut.”

2010 Pinot Noir, Logan – 90 Points
“($25) Bright ruby.  Pungent aromas of cherry pit, beetroot, anise and dried flowers.  Spicy and precise, presenting tangy redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors that gain sweetness with air.  Strikes a suave balance of sweetness and earthiness, finishing with good cling, silky tannins and notable persistence.”

2010 Chardonnay, Kali-Hart – 89 Points
“($19) Bright yellow-gold.  Ripe peach and melon on the fragrant nose.  Fleshy and smooth but energetic too, offering peach and honeydew flavors accented by candied ginger and lemon rind.  Packs a punch but remains bright and lively, finishing with good breadth and a bracingly bitter quality.”

2010 Pinot Noir, Kali Hart – 87 Points
“($21) Dark ruby.  Ripe cherry and plum on the pungent nose and in the mouth.  Plush and open-knit but could use more energy.  Finishes on a clinging, vaguely jammy dark fruit note, with no obvious tannins.”
