"Ruby-Colored Gem" 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard

"Today, Robb Talbott makes some of the best wines from the Central Coast of California. Two releases, the Logan and the Kali Hart, are named for his children. The wine Gary picked to pair with the Thanksgiving repast was a single-vineyard bottling, the 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard. This ruby-colored gem is a precise and perfect a Pinot as those ties that Audrey made so many years ago by hand. At $42 a bottle it is priced for those who want something a little special to toast their thanks.” - Kelly J. Hayes Aspen Times - Click here

"Buttery California Chardonay" 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Kali Hart

“Try if you like: Buttery California Chardonnay. If you like bold, creamy, oaky, and tropical fruit-filled Chardonnays, then don’t miss this one. It’s a soul-warming white that exhibits hints for fresh pineapple, melon, vanilla, and butterscotch. It has a lush, creamy mouth feel that’s balanced by an acidity that isn’t aggressive but lets you know its there. It’s all estate-grown fruit from a producer I’ve loved for many years.

Thanksgiving Day: A wine of this bold, creamy, character wouldn’t generally be the first on my list of suggestions, but some people, including my mother, absolutely love a big, oaky California Chard. This Talbott will put a smile on the faces of your Chardonnay-loving friends and family, and it actually works quite nicely with the textures of the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and gravy. I’ll be bringing this to my mom’s.” Joe Iurato The Record - Click here

"For the Red Lovers" Talbott Pinot Noir Sleepy Hollow Vineyard

For the red lovers in the crowd, Pinot Noir is the most natural pairing with gamey birds like turkey. Again we like those from Talbott like the Sleepy Hollow...All of these Pinot Noirs are highlighted by slight earthiness and cherry flavors and aromas, and enough acid to pair with a big meal. - George Balling Coeur D' Alene Press - Click here

"The 2009 Kali Hart Chard is perfect" 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Kali Hart

“The night before Thanksgiving we often have family members or friends who have traveled from faraway places spending the night. With all of the food preparation the next day we try to keep the meal simple. One of our favorites is a meal of the first of the season Dungeness crab with a big green salad, fresh bread and Louis dressing. The natural for crab is Chardonnay and with the reemergence of Talbott Winery from the central coast of California, the 2009 Kali Hart Chard is perfect. The wine is fermented mostly in stainless steel with some oak treatment too making for a wine with all of the butter notes to highlight the crab but with leanness and texture to pull the meal together.” - George Balling Coeur D'alene Press - Click here

90 Points 2009 Talbott Pinot Noir Sleepy Hollow Vineyard

“Medium red. Fragrant aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and peppery spices, with a hint of woodsmoke. Juicy and sweet on entry, then tighter in the middle, offering tangy red berry flavors and a touch of bitter herbs. Shows an appealing jamminess on the finish, with the raspberry and spice notes repeating. This seamless, smooth pinot has the depth to handle richer foods but it's carrying little excess weight.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

91 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Sleepy Hollow Vineyard

“Bright gold. Ripe pear and nectarine aromas are complicated by honey, clove and vanilla. Lush and creamy but energetic, offering sappy pit fruit flavors braced by lemon pith and ginger. This smooth chardonnay finishes with very good cling and lingering spiciness, and surprising energy for a rich wine.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

89 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Logan

“Bright gold. Smoky, lees-accented aromas of pear, melon and white flowers, with building spiciness. A juicy, palate-caressing midweight, with good depth and energy to its orchard fruit and candied citrus flavors. The spicy note comes back on the delineated, persistent finish.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

87 Points 2009 Talbott Pinot Noir Kali Hart

“Deep red. Black raspberry and cherry on the nose. Ripe and fleshy, with deep dark fruit flavors that coat the palate but could use more vivacity. Finishes broad and persistent, with a slightly loose-knit character. Best served with a light chill.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

88 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Kali Hart

“Vivid yellow. Poached pear, melon and butterscotch on the pungent nose. Ripe and fleshy, with good depth and a bit of heat to its broad orchard and pit fruit flavors. Finishes smooth and gently sweet, leaving notes of sweet butter and honey behind. I'd have liked a bit more vivacity but fans of rich, creamy chardonnay should love this.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here
