89 Points 2010 Talbott Chardonnay, Kali Hart

"This consistently well-made Chard has tropical fruit aromas of pineapple and melon.  It's lush and lovely in the mouth, with melon, pineapple, and citrus notes.  Nicely balanced with a bit of freshness."  Tina Caputo Wine Review Online  - Click here

“An Excellent Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir” 2008 Talbott Logan Pinot Noir

“Here’s a review of a pinot noir that I tasted over the past two days and thought was really terrific, actually an exemplar of what Monterey County pinot should be. This is the Talbott Logan Pinot Noir 2008, Santa Lucia Highlands. I used the word ‘lovely’ so many times in my notes on the Talbott Logan Pinot Noir 2008 that I started to feel like a songwriter of the 1930s. The color is a lovely medium ruby with a darker, more intense core. The (lovely) bouquet, pure and radiant, offers plum, red currants and a bit of mulberry with hints of sassafras and cloves and a slight undertone of briers and brambles. This is smooth as silk, sleek as satin, subtle and supple, almost edgeless in its impeccable balance. Black cherry and red currant flavors open to elements of smoke, lavender and sandalwood, with further dimensions of forestry earthiness and slate-like minerality, though these qualities are almost subliminal. The wine aged 11 months in French oak but you recognize that act only by a slight increase of woody spice and dryness of texture on the finish. Just freakin’ lovely. Drink now through 2012 or ‘13.” Frederick Koeppel Bigger Than Your Head

91 Points 2008 Talbott Chardonnnay, Kali Hart

“This is a lovely, well-balanced Chardonnay. The nose is intoxicating with layered aromas of pineapple, citrus fruits, melon, white peach, butterscotch, and oak. On the palate, the wine is smooth, yet still crisp, as flavors of melon, orange, and pineapple unfold into a soft vanilla finish. A standout Chardonnay from this past year, the fact that it’s under $15 is a wonderful bonus.” Jason Barlow Food & Beverage

89 Points 2009 Talbott Pinot Noir, Logan

“Bright violet color. Pungent scents of black raspberry, smoky minerals, flowers and cracked pepper. Displays brighter red fruits on the palate, with fine-grained tannins adding gentle grip. Shows a smoky quality on the back end, which displays good finishing lift and spicy cut.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

“In Monterey, Great Taste Just Goes with the Territory” 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Kali Hart

“Talbott Winery’s Dan Karlsen is the expressive, self-described ‘former hippie’ and an avid believer in the excellence of Monterey Pinot Noir, calling it ‘the wine of kings.’ He champions a ‘vineyard first’ approach to winemaking ‘to obtain a vibrant cool climate appeal, that is all about flavor.’ His ‘08 Talbott Kali Hart has spicy blueberry and cherry notes with nine months in French Oak.” Frank Mangio Coast News

"Four Stars" 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard

“Rich and very ripely flavored, this Chardonnay is so ripely flavored that it tastes sweet (pineapple, honey). Luscious and intense, with a long finish—unusually fruity in style.”

"Ruby-Colored Gem" 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard

"Today, Robb Talbott makes some of the best wines from the Central Coast of California. Two releases, the Logan and the Kali Hart, are named for his children. The wine Gary picked to pair with the Thanksgiving repast was a single-vineyard bottling, the 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard. This ruby-colored gem is a precise and perfect a Pinot as those ties that Audrey made so many years ago by hand. At $42 a bottle it is priced for those who want something a little special to toast their thanks.” - Kelly J. Hayes Aspen Times - Click here
