“Never a wine that falls short on full and outgoing expression, this latest version of Talbott's flagship effort boasts a dramatic yet mannerly blending of creamy, toasty oak with roasted lemons and a very solid background of brisk apple scents. Its fullness on the palate is unmistakable but so too is its great depth and polish, and if its distinct fruit is less than frontal, it is not without plenty of length and staying power.
