“Here are two delicious wines from Talbott. They’re located in the Santa Lucia Highlands, that’s down in Monterey County. And I’m really pleased with the prices...Classic Pinot Noir aromas of strawberries with an almost smoky background. Toasted oak touches the aroma for a very nice balance. Rich and lush ripe fruit flavors linger long on the palate. That bright fruit makes this a delicious wine to just pick up and drink a glass of. A pale straw color with a lovely aroma of ripe tropical fruits and soft oak. The bright Chardonnay flavors are perfectly balanced with the oak. This is Chardonnay as it was meant to be. The key word is balance. Truly just enough oak for balance. This is a rich, luscious wine to serve with shellfish or cream based sauces. Excellent price.” Narsai David KCBS

“This is the most impressive lineup of wines I have seen from Talbott in a number of years. Their less expensive second label is a noteworthy value. Take, for example, the 2008 Chardonnay Kali Hart. It displays loads of poached pear, pineapple, and honey in an impressively perfumed bouquet. In the mouth, it is soft, fleshy, and medium-bodied, with just enough acidity to give it balance.
