"Four Stars" 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard

“Rich and very ripely flavored, this Chardonnay is so ripely flavored that it tastes sweet (pineapple, honey). Luscious and intense, with a long finish—unusually fruity in style.”

"Buttery California Chardonay" 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Kali Hart

“Try if you like: Buttery California Chardonnay. If you like bold, creamy, oaky, and tropical fruit-filled Chardonnays, then don’t miss this one. It’s a soul-warming white that exhibits hints for fresh pineapple, melon, vanilla, and butterscotch. It has a lush, creamy mouth feel that’s balanced by an acidity that isn’t aggressive but lets you know its there. It’s all estate-grown fruit from a producer I’ve loved for many years.

Thanksgiving Day: A wine of this bold, creamy, character wouldn’t generally be the first on my list of suggestions, but some people, including my mother, absolutely love a big, oaky California Chard. This Talbott will put a smile on the faces of your Chardonnay-loving friends and family, and it actually works quite nicely with the textures of the turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and gravy. I’ll be bringing this to my mom’s.” Joe Iurato The Record - Click here

"The 2009 Kali Hart Chard is perfect" 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Kali Hart

“The night before Thanksgiving we often have family members or friends who have traveled from faraway places spending the night. With all of the food preparation the next day we try to keep the meal simple. One of our favorites is a meal of the first of the season Dungeness crab with a big green salad, fresh bread and Louis dressing. The natural for crab is Chardonnay and with the reemergence of Talbott Winery from the central coast of California, the 2009 Kali Hart Chard is perfect. The wine is fermented mostly in stainless steel with some oak treatment too making for a wine with all of the butter notes to highlight the crab but with leanness and texture to pull the meal together.” - George Balling Coeur D'alene Press - Click here

91 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Sleepy Hollow Vineyard

“Bright gold. Ripe pear and nectarine aromas are complicated by honey, clove and vanilla. Lush and creamy but energetic, offering sappy pit fruit flavors braced by lemon pith and ginger. This smooth chardonnay finishes with very good cling and lingering spiciness, and surprising energy for a rich wine.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

89 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Logan

“Bright gold. Smoky, lees-accented aromas of pear, melon and white flowers, with building spiciness. A juicy, palate-caressing midweight, with good depth and energy to its orchard fruit and candied citrus flavors. The spicy note comes back on the delineated, persistent finish.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

88 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Kali Hart

“Vivid yellow. Poached pear, melon and butterscotch on the pungent nose. Ripe and fleshy, with good depth and a bit of heat to its broad orchard and pit fruit flavors. Finishes smooth and gently sweet, leaving notes of sweet butter and honey behind. I'd have liked a bit more vivacity but fans of rich, creamy chardonnay should love this.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

92 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Cuvée Carlotta

“Bright yellow-gold. Intensely perfumed bouquet of exotic tropical fruits, candied orange, vanilla and marzipan, with a smoky overtone. Lush, expansive pineapple and passion fruit flavors show serious depth and a pliant texture. The vanilla note comes back on the finish, which features notes of toasty lees, honey and bitter citrus pith. This distinctly opulent wine also shows surprising vivacity, but it's not for delicate palates.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

92 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay Cuvée Audrey

“Light, bright gold. Spice-accented aromas of pit fruits, mango, anise and toasty lees, with a brighter note of lemon pith adding verve. Deep, juicy and penetrating, with powerful tropical and citrus fruit flavors, hints of clove and ginger and a smoky overtone. Shows very good vivacity for a ripe, rich wine (this is carrying 15.1% alcohol), finishing with strong grip and length.” Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here

93 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard

“As always with this vineyard, the wine is superripe, almost overripe, with extracted pineapple, pear, nectarine and peach flavors that are impossibly ripe. New oak adds even richer vanilla, carmel and buttered toast notes. Great acidity and a firm minerality fortunately balance all this flamboyance, but it’s still a pretty powerful Chardonnay. Drink with rich lobster, scallop and tuna dishes. Typical Talbott Sleepy Hollow Vineyard, ultraripe, exotic, oaky.” Steve Heimoff Wine Enthusiast - Click here
