"Monterey Magic" 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Kali Hart
“Carmel Heller, Talbott and Bernardus wineries rank with California’s best. California’s Monterey County is spectacular in summer, yet it retains its appeal well into November and the end of grape harvest...All three producers make exemplary wine, yet it is interesting to note how they follow different routes.”

“Is estate grown, 80 percent from the legendary Sleepy Hollow Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. The wine boasts ripe apple, pineapple and vanilla with fresh citrus notes. It is creamy, generous and lengthy.” Ray and Eleanor Heald Quarterly Review of Wine

This Week’s Wine Recommendation: 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Kali Hart
“Let me just speak plainly: This Pinot Noir is one of the best I’ve tasted. Talbott takes every flavor profile known to wine and stuffs it into the light body of a Pinot Noir. This quality is often not even found in a bottle twice this price.” Kris and Jill Barber The Wine Rogue - Click here
White Wines to Pair with Summer Salads - 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Kali Hart
“This wine has a tropical, citrusy character that pairs well with many foods. Its pineapple flavors are softened by a hint of vanilla. My wife, Pamela, served this wine with a quiche, and it was delicious. I like drinking it a little more chilled than most...My next ‘go to’ salad is cilantro lime rice salad with sautéed shrimp. The tropical flavors from the Talbott’s Kali Hart Chardonnay bring out the flavors in the buttery shrimp. Chardonnay’s soft and light body will enhance the creaminess of rice and shrimp, making this a wonderful pairing.” Gene Treacy and Terri Geiser - Knoxville News-Sentinel

"Quite a Finish" 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Kali Hart
“Another consistent high-end operation is Talbott Vineyards down in Monterey, and I'm loving Talbott Vineyards Kali Hart Chardonnay 2009. It's got quite a finish for the under-$20 category, offering lots of melony appeal. (I'm picturing it alongside a melon and ricotta salad, in fact.)” Ted Loos Epicurious.com

“Premium Pinot Found in California” 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Kali Hart
“Although Burgundy has long been the benchmark for world-class point noir and Oregon is now, many knowledgeable wine consumers know that California can produce pinot that rivals and even exceeds both. It’s Santa Lucia Highlands overlooking the Salinas Valley that has emerged as prime pinot country, producing some of the state’s most dramatic and sought-after wines.” Rich Mauro The Colorado Gazette
