90 Points 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard
“This is a full-flavored Pinot Noir with a whopping 15.1% alcohol that manages to offer savory complexity and avoid overwhelming the palate. There's a strong black-tea character along with plenty of raspberry and cherry fruit. Sleepy Hollow Vineyard wines tend to be big, but this one is also limber.” Blake Gray Wine Review Online - Click here
"Floral Notes with a Palate of Black Cherry" 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Logan
“Aromas of lush, ripe fruit, cherry and plum lead to signature floral notes with a palate of black cherry, cinnamon and cedar.” Alain Gayot Gayot.com
92 Points 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Logan
“This is the most impressive lineup of wines I have seen from Talbott in a number of years. The 2008 Pinot Noir Logan has wild berry and sandalwood notes, a slightly darker ruby color, richer, more dramatic flavors of red and blue fruits, and some nice spice and earth. This beauty is broad, savory, and can be drunk now or cellared for another 7-8 years.” Robert Parker
88 Points 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Kali Hart
“This is the most impressive lineup of wines I have seen from Talbott in a number of years. Their less expensive second label is a noteworthy value. The 2008 Pinot Noir Kali Hart has a medium ruby color and a big, smoky, spicy nose with plenty of mulberry and black cherry fruit. Almost Burgundian in its aromatics, the wine is medium-bodied, pure, and nicely textured. This is a delicious, well-made Pinot Noir to drink over the next 2-4 years.” Robert Parker - Click here
90 Points 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Cuvée Sarah Case
“Strong in fruit and acidity, this Pinot Noir swamps the palate with gigantic flavors of raspberries and cherries that taste like they were baked into a pie. That includes the pie crust, with it’s spicy, vanilla smokiness. It’s all a bit in your face, but it’s flashy.” Steve Heimoff Wine Enthusiast - Click here
90+ Points 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Sleepy Hollow Vineyard
“This is the most impressive lineup of wines I have seen from Talbott in a number of years. The 2008 Pinot Noir Sleepy Hollow Vineyard has a similar dark ruby color as well as an attractively perfumed nose of red and blue fruits, spice box, and a touch of earth and background wood. It is rich, textured, and slightly more structured than the Logan (or at least the tannins appear more present). It’s a beauty as well.” Robert Parker - Click here

Wine of the Week 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Cuvée Sarah Case
" Full-Bodied and Mouth-Filling" “Robert Talbott is considered a bit of a trailblazer in California’s Monterey County. After visiting Burgundy, he was determined to produce terroir-driven wines on the Central Coast, planting his vines in areas that others deemed unsuitable. His persistence established one of Central California’s most prestigious wineries, recognized around the world for its Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. The Cuvée Sarah Case Pinot has become a flagship for the winery (along with the critically acclaimed Sleepy Hollow Chardonnay). A deep, rich claret color gives the first hints of the Pinot’s body and richness. On the nose it offers blackberry, black cherry and a touch of mint, cocoa and pepper. Delightfully mouth-filling, this full-bodied wine offers flavors of tart cherries and plums with exotic spice notes on the finish. The wine is one that could benefit from a few years aging, but if you're ready to drink it now, try it with classic dishes like boeuf bourguignon or a cheese soufflé. It will also pair nicely with salmon tartare, seared duck breast or a simple plate of summer fruits with artisan cheeses.” - Gayot.com - Click here
"Highly Recommended" 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Logan
“Forward berry fruit that’s rich and intense, but not heavy. Dry with a hint of sour cherry and a hint of cedar.” Renie and Sterling Steves - Fort Worth Business Press - Click here
"For the Fans of the Ripe Style of Pinot Noir" 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Logan
“Deeply colored. The cherry fruits have a very ripe, roasted quality adding scents of plum pudding, berry jam and marzipan. The overripe fruit core is clothed in soft tannins making for a velvety mouth feel. I suspect the Brix was high at harvest and the wine was apparently not watered back. For fans of the ripe style of Pinot Noir.” Rusty Gaffney Pinotfile
