“Monterey Magic” 2008 Talbott Chardonnay, Logan
“Is 90 percent barrel fermented with full malolactic fermentation. It is unctuous and layered with tropical fruit, vanilla and notes of toasty French oak.” Ray and Eleanor Heald - Quarterly Review of Wine
90 Points 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Logan
“A sort of advance peek at the Chardonnay that, in a year or so, will bear the Sleepy Hollow designation. It should be an amazingly rich wine, as even this junior version is. Dry, crisp and oaky, it explodes with pineapple, mango, apricot and buttered toast flavors.” Steve Heimoff Wine Enthusiast - Click here
"Possibly the Biggest White Wine the Group Has Ever Tried" 2008 Talbott Chardonnay, Logan
“Possibly the biggest white wine the group has ever tried, the ’08 Talbott Logan Chardonnay from Santa Lucia Valley ...Tasters decided the wine recalled ‘buttered corn on the cob’ and bananas foster, with a rich, round texture.” Lindsay Christians Wisconsin St. Journal
“A Summer Wine Short List: The Luxurious White” 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Logan
“While watching the sunset on the back porch, I want a plush indulgence, like Talbott Logan Chardonnay 2009 from California’s Central Coast.” Daniel Duane Bon Appétit - Click here
88 Points 2009 Talbott Pinot Noir, Logan
“Deep and intense on the nose with gently stemmy accents with smoky topnotes over wild blackberry and wild cherry fruit. Big and rich in the mouth with tons of sweet fruit. This is a bowl of mixed cherries in the mouth with nicely balanced acidity and a bed of finely-grained tannins for support. The mid-palate is fairly dark and certainly deep with a nice wood element on the finish...The alcohol is very well integrated with a touch of heat on the finish.” Gregory Dal Piaz Snooth.com - Click here
"A Delicious Wine to Just Pick Up and Drink a Glass Of" 2009 Talbott Pinot Noir, Logan
“Here are two delicious wines from Talbott. They’re located in the Santa Lucia Highlands, that’s down in Monterey County. And I’m really pleased with the prices...Classic Pinot Noir aromas of strawberries with an almost smoky background. Toasted oak touches the aroma for a very nice balance. Rich and lush ripe fruit flavors linger long on the palate. That bright fruit makes this a delicious wine to just pick up and drink a glass of. It would be a fine match for a rare roast beef or steak.” Narsai David KCBS - Click here
"Chardonnay As it Was Meant to Be" 2009 Talbott Chardonnay, Logan
A pale straw color with a lovely aroma of ripe tropical fruits and soft oak. The bright Chardonnay flavors are perfectly balanced with the oak. This is Chardonnay as it was meant to be. The key word is balance. Truly just enough oak for balance. This is a rich, luscious wine to serve with shellfish or cream based sauces. Excellent price.” Narsai David KCBS
Outstanding+ 2008 Talbott Chardonnay, Logan
“Well-made medium-bodied Chardonnay with elements of pineapple, guava, toasty oak, vanilla custard and baked apples. Fermented primarily in French oak barrels, there are gorgeous undertones of nutmeg, allspice and pear tart.” - Kevin Keith Under the Grape Tree - Click here
87 Points 2008 Talbott Pinot Noir, Logan
“Deep red. Cherry, plum and smoked meat on the nose. Rich and fleshy, offering bitter cherry and dark chocolate flavors and a touch of the smoked meat. A powerful, ripe and fairly dense rendition of pinot, with good finishing breadth and lingering sweetness.” - Josh Raynolds International Wine Cellar - Click here
