Chardonnay produced from Corton-Charlemagne clone vines personally planted by Robert Talbott in 1982. Hand picked from Robb's small 17 acre Diamond T Vineyard in Carmel Valley CA producing only 300 cases. Grown at 1,200 ft elevation perched on a mountain top, the chalky shale soil and cool climate results in low crop yields producing grapes with concentrated flavors and lively minerality. Aged in all French oak barrels. Beautifully balanced, this wine displays inviting notes of apple, vanilla bean, citrus, and a long lingering finish.
