Cuvee RFT Pinot Noir Diamond T Vineyard

This Pinot Noir hails from the very special Diamond T Estate in the Carmel Valley.  This 20-acre, tightly spaced vineyard grows on a 1,200-foot mountaintop, eight miles from Carmel Bay.  Cooling ocean fogs, both in the morning and evening, moderate the climate.  Crop yields are extremely small due to the challenging growing conditions, and the growing season is extended by the vineyard’s proximity to the ocean. 

Our Talbott Pinot Noir, Cuvée RFT is named in honor of the patriarch of the Talbott family. In 1961, Robert Flook Talbott, Sr. (RFT) purchased the mountaintop land that became Diamond T Vineyard. Planted to select French clones, this cool, high-elevation vineyard consistently produces low yields of concentrated fruit. Cuvée RFT is produced using a selection of Dijon and Pommard clone grapes.
