The 2007 Talbott Pinot Noir was crafted to capture the essence of
our world-class estate program, our 2007 Talbott Vineyards Pinot
Noir is produced as a stylistic companion to our acclaimed Talbott
Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Chardonnay—our flagship wine. The
product of one of the finest Pinot Noir vintages in decades, our
2007 Talbott Vineyards Pinot Noir offers an elegant expression of
cool-climate Pinot Noir, highlighting the power, purity and graceful sophistication of our estate fruit. This wine was made by our winemaker Dan Karlsen—a passionate Pinot Noir specialist, with 30 years of experience and was produced exclusively using fruit from
our MontereyCounty estate vineyards.

Cuvee Sarah Case

Cuvée Sarah Case is named in honor of Robert Talbott’s eldest
daughter Sarah Case Talbott. The 2008 vintage is the inaugural
release of this distinctive Pinot Noir from our acclaimed Sleepy
Hollow Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands.

Cuvee Sarah Case Pinot Noir
Talbott’s Sleepy Hollow Vineyard is located in Monterey County in the northern part of the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. Fruit for the Cuvee Sarah Case Pinot Noir comes predominately from two blocks of Dijon clones planted in the Sleepy Hollow North section of our vineyard.The wine enjoys significant aging time in both French oak and the bottle prior to release. Case Pinot Noir has excellent structure and ample soft tannins, which make it an ideal candidate for extended aging; yet the wine’s ripe, forward fruit also makes it an excellent wine to savor upon release.
