Our Pinot Noir is crafted exclusively with fruit grown in Diamond T Vineyard, a vineyard that consistently produces Pinot Noir of the highest caliber. Planted with a selection of Dijon clones, these vines produce dense clusters of Pinot Noir packed with ripe flavors. With a color so deep it approaches violet, the intensity of this wine is apparent at first glance. Aromas of black cherry, vanilla and cedar rise out of the glass. On the palate, flavors of blackberry cobbler à la mode beguile the senses, while the silky tannins and mouthwatering acidity luxuriously coat the tongue. Crafted in 50% new French oak, this wine embodies all the beauty and complexity of the place it was grown — Carmel Valley in a glass.
The 2017 harvest was another absolute classic for Diamond T. A warm Labor Day weekend helped deliver ripeness that has not been seen in years. Its proximity to the Pacific allowed cool winds to flow through the vines, chilling down the fruit after beautiful, warm days. The long, warm growing season condensed the flavors in every cluster, resulting in an extraordinarily unique vintage that remains perfectly balanced and unmistakably Diamond T.
